Joseph is a licensed Physical Therapist who received
his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University
of Puget Sound. Prior to graduate school he received
a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and
a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education
at the University of Idaho. Additionally he is
a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Joseph has had experience working with men’s and
women’s Division I and Division III student-athletes
including experience with men’s football and baseball,
men’s and women’s track and field, women’s soccer,
women’s softball, men’s and women’s swimming and
men’s and women’s tennis. He currently works part-time
for the University of Puget Sound Athletic Department
as a Certified Athletic Trainer working with all
the university’s student-athletes and traveling
with Logger Football.
Additionally he has experience working as a high
school Certified Athletic Trainer and Physical
Education teacher. As a Physical Therapist he
is interested in restoring functional movement
patterns to allow for appropriate and pain free
motion with everyday activities and athletics,
treatment and evaluation of sports injuries to
allow for continued play or an accelerated return
to play, and treating overhead throwing injuries.
Joseph also has worked with the Women’s Soccer
Olympic Development Program as a Certified Athletic
Trainer for regional and invitational camps across
the country, and additionally has worked numerous
High School summer athletic camps and tournaments.
In his free time he enjoys fly fishing, backpacking,
bird hunting, snowboarding, golfing, mountain
biking; participating in sports whenever he can.
