Becky is a licensed Physical Therapist and additionally, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She attained a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound, subsequent to a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Willamette University. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association/Orthopedic Section and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The treatment of musculoskeletal injuries is the foundation of Becky’s physical therapy career. She has worked with numerous orthopedic clinical cases involving injuries sustained in sports, motor vehicle accidents, and on-the-job incidents. Her knowledge and expertise have been enhanced by observing many surgeries. This has enabled her to work closely with patients to facilitate the pre- and post-operative care required to get them back to normal activities in a safe and timely manner.

Becky has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation. This involves hands-on work in shoulder joint and soft tissue mobilization, as well as biomechanical determinations for shoulder strengthening. Minute changes in biomechanical form can significantly alter the way an exercise affects a body part or joint.

Becky’s practice also encompasses sports conditioning, working with both individual clients and teams. A fun and dynamic whole-body strengthening approach can be tailored to individual needs, target a specific sport, or emphasize general fitness.

Becky has worked with many college and high school athletes, both in the clinic and in the community. During the 2006 season, she coordinated the Sportsmetrix program for the Stadium High School Volleyball Team. Becky also interned with the Athletic Training Department at Curtis High School in 2001 and has assisted in speed and agility camps.

Of particular concern is the prevention and rehabilitation of knee injuries in females. To meet this need, Becky utilizes evidence-based rehabilitation techniques for patellofemoral syndrome and she selectively implements aspects of the Sportsmetrix program to prevent ACL tears.

With an overall goal of returning patients to their pre-injury level of activity, Becky creates custom rehabilitation programs within the varied spectrum of sedentary individuals to high level athletes. She understands that each client is different and customizes her programs to meet the individual’s needs.

In her free time, Becky enjoys running, yoga, and spending time with her family and friends. She recently started tennis lessons, and feels enthusiastic about tennis becoming a life-long sport.
